ForestSIM®: Forest Certification Support Platform - Public Presentation
On June 25th, we publicly presented the ForestSIM® platform – Information and Mapping System – for the first time.
ForestSIM® is a technological platform that emerged from the urgent need to create an information management tool that is available to Forest Management Certification groups, developed by 2BForest with the support of The Navigator Company.
ForestSIM was developed to allow the management of information on property certification by the two Forest Certification Systems and its structure allows certification groups and individual entities to manage information more effectively using new technologies, with increased efficiency in resource and information management.
This platform has 3 fundamental components:

Document information management, with document upload and records associated with the system requirements, namely operations monitoring;

Cartographic information management, with cartographic editing and constraints visualization modules, so that the owner can generate their maps visualizing the applicable legal constraints;

Information management of production models, with direct link to productivity calculations (e.g. Webglobulus and IFN), and CAOF costs, resulting in a multi-annual Budget arising from the applicable forestry models.
