2BFOREST has joined act4nature Portugal, an initiative by @BCSD Portugal through which companies commit to protecting, promoting and restoring biodiversity and ecosystem services, contributing to halting and reversing their loss by 2030.
"2BFOREST's mission is to support the sustainable development of Portuguese forests, using market instruments that consumers recognize in protecting and promoting forests. The certification of ecosystem services, through international standards, aims to value these services so that they are considered a heritage asset of the Rural World, essential for protecting biodiversity."
Given the mission and all the work that 2BForest has done, joining act4nature was a natural way to strengthen internally and demonstrate to the outside the path that guides us with clear and transparent objectives and goals!
act4nature Portugal
act4nature Portugal is an initiative promoted by BCSD Portugal within the scope of act4nature international, launched in France in 2018, with the aim of mobilizing companies to protect, promote and restore biodiversity.
The launch of this initiative in Portugal is part of the commitments made by BCSD Portugal in 2019, when it joined the coalition Business for Nature, include the objective of involving companies in commitments that contribute to reversing biodiversity loss at a global level.

Conference on Natural Capital
The Conference on Natural Capital, which will take place the next day November 23 (Wednesday), between 9:30 am and 1:00 pm, at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia, in Lisbon.
This conference aims to promote the networking and interaction between companies and organizations working on the ground to develop actions for nature, including the presentation and sharing of practical cases. This will include a "signing ceremony" for joining this initiative with all signatory entities. act4nature Portugal 2020-2021-2022.
