The Brazilian National Football Team joins 2BForest's carbon sequestration project
The National Football Team, through its sponsor GALP, is associated with an ecosystem services project in Portugal, namely, forest carbon sequestration, in the areas of the 2BForest forest certification group.
Galp, the main sponsor of the National Football Team for over 20 years, has just launched the advertising campaign associated with the 2022 World Cup: together we clean the world.
This campaign aims to leverage sustainability and the energy transition throughout its value chain by supporting two projects that promote the capture and reduction of carbon emissions in regions where Galp operates, namely Portugal and Mozambique.
In Portugal, Galp will reinforce its support for the Paiva Walkways forestry project, which combines carbon sequestration with effective forest management to ensure the restoration, conservation, and valorization of natural resources. 2BForest congratulates GALP on the trust it places in its work, involving the respective initiatives it sponsors, recognizing the work being carried out to conserve and promote native forests and biodiversity in the Arouca project, through the ES_SPONSOR initiative.
2BForest believes that the involvement of society and companies in favor of the National Forest, supporting projects that value forest ecosystem services (e.g. carbon sequestration, promotion of biodiversity and landscape), is an important lever for having “More and Better Forest”.
