Responsible for the GIS department

2BForest is a forestry consulting company currently recruiting a technician to head the Geographic Information Systems department to support forest certification technicians, promote innovative methodologies in the area of ecosystem services and forest planning, and support the management of the ForestSIM platform – management software for certified areas.

• Ability to work and help each other as a team;

• Dynamic and Responsible;

• Qualifications: Training higher education related to the activity of Agricultural Sciences, Geographic Information Systems or similar (Forestry, Spatial Planning, Information Systems and Technologies, Geography); master's degree in geographic information systems;

• Professional experience in GIS (preferably QGIS) and geoprocessing software;

• Experience in Microsoft Office;

• Knowledge of forestry and/or land use planning is a preferential requirement;

• Driving license;

• Availability for mobility.

Job Description:

• Coordination of the company's GIS department;

• Management and support for customers of the ForestSIM platform;

• Support in the management of databases and mapping of the certification group;

• Support in the development of new projects in the areas of geographic information systems;

• Support for the development of new information geoprocessing methodologies, particularly for the certification of ecosystem services.
