2BForest invited two leading national figures to share their experience and knowledge with us on two major current topics in forest management: hunting and mushrooms.
Chatting with João Carvalho!

João Carvalho will talk to us about the importance of hunting in population control and its relationship with economic activity and biodiversity protection, a topic of extreme relevance for the rural world.
Let's discuss how Good Hunting Practices can minimize the impacts of attacks by wild boars and other large game on agricultural and forestry crops, which annually cause significant losses for rural managers.
The increase in this type of population has affected biodiversity, through the destruction of nesting areas of native species, through competition for food, and aggravated by drought situations, which has a significant impact.
Chatting with Vasco Fachada!

Vasco Fachada, along with other mycologists, is voluntarily conducting a study of macrofungi in SW Alentejo and will present some of the results.
Since mycological activity is a highly important activity in the rural world, where harvesting requires expertise and in-depth knowledge of the species to be collected, we invited a specialist to speak to us about the mycological richness of the SW Alentejo region and Good Mycological Practices!
