Ecosystem Services: Submission of Member Declaration – Alto do Lindoso Reforestation
On February 1st, 2BFOREST carried out to submit the FSC® Certified Member Declaration for Ecosystem Services to EDP-Energy Production Management SA (M746), on its certified property in Alto do Lindoso, Ponte da Barca.
The Membership Declaration was presented during the announcement ceremony for the “Reforestation of Alto Lindoso” project, which involved a volunteer initiative to plant native species, organized by EDP.
This event involved a group of national, municipal and local entities, with the opportunity to contribute their ideas on expectations and strategies to be adopted for the environment, forests and ecosystem services, namely through the National Voluntary Carbon Market.
As we move forward, it is imperative that we continue to work together, adopting responsible practices and seeking innovative solutions to the environmental challenges we face. With determination and cooperation, we work to ensure that local ecosystems continue to provide the countless benefits that sustain our lives and well-being.
The celebration of ecosystem services certification aims not only to recognize but also to encourage sustainable practices and the conservation of natural resources that are essential to the community.
