10/04 Field Session Better Forest in Proença-a-Nova

On April 10, 2025, in Proença-a-Nova, 2BForest will present a demonstration field of good forestry practices, focusing on maritime pine forest management and the valorization of intermediate products. The event will be held on a certified property of the 2B_Forest_Group and is part of the Better Forest Program, an integral part of the Transform Agenda of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).

The session aims to bring together forest owners and industry professionals to share the management initiatives developed by the Carmo Wood group in the areas affected by the 2003 fire. These interventions have enabled sustainable management of maritime pine forests, enhancing the value of intermediate products, such as wooden poles, and promoting natural forest regeneration.

In addition to contributing to the revitalization of forested areas, this approach plays an essential role in enhancing the value of the territory and strengthening the region's economic and environmental resilience. The event represents an opportunity to exchange knowledge on best forestry practices and the application of innovative solutions in the sector.
