05/05/2025: 2BForest partners in the Biosafety Technical Conference: Challenges in controlling invasive species, Marrazes, Leiria

2Bforest hereby invites all members, partners, interested parties and clients to the 2025 Technical Conferences dedicated to Biosafety: Challenges in Invasive Weed Control, in Mata de Marrazes, an area certified for ecosystem services (carbon) whose challenge is the control of woody weeds to promote native forests.

FSC Portugal holds the third Technical Conferences of 2025 dedicated to Biosafety: Challenges in Invasive Weed Control, in partnership with 2BForest, the Center for Natural Resources, Environment and Society Studies (CERNAS), the Coimbra School of Agriculture (ESAC), the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (IPC), the Center for Functional Ecology – Science for People & the Planet (CFE) of the University of Coimbra and the Union of Parishes of Marrazes and Barrosa.

Aimed at certificate holders, forest owners and managers, NGOs, and other stakeholders, the event aims to reinforce responsible forest management practices, focusing on the need for effective measures to curb the spread of invasive species—a growing threat to biodiversity and ecosystems.
