Gall Wasp Detection Training brought together forestry professionals in Dornes

Last day June 20th, the 2BForest, in collaboration with The Navigator Company, promoted a free training on the Eucalyptus Gall Wasp in Dornes, in the municipality of Ferreira do Zêzere.

The initiative's main objective was train forest owners, service providers and other industry professionals in the early detection of this new pest, which poses a significant threat to eucalyptus forests in Portugal. The training session featured specialized technicians and encouraged knowledge sharing on identification and monitoring methods.

In addition to the training session, the meeting ended with a dinner party, reinforcing the spirit of collaboration and closeness between participants and supporting local community initiatives, in this case at the Dornes Festival.

This action is part of 2BForest's commitment to raise awareness and prepare the forestry sector for emerging challenges, promoting informed and sustainable management practices.
