New visit by Latvian forest owners and entrepreneurs to the Portuguese forest organized by 2BForest

From September 15th to 20th, 2BForest was pleased to once again welcome a group of enthusiasts, landowners, and entrepreneurs from Latvia, interested in learning about the Portuguese forest, its challenges, and unique characteristics. The initiative was supported by a Latvian government funding program designed to empower these European rural development agents with skills and ideas for new forms of forest management.

Throughout the visit, participants had the opportunity to explore different Portuguese forest management systems, learn about best practices and innovative solutions, and visit leading national and international companies, which presented the best practices and technologies applied to forests and the forestry industry in Portugal.

The initiative reinforces 2BForest's commitment to promoting the exchange of international knowledge, fostering innovation, and valuing sustainability in forest management, contributing to the development of more resilient and competitive territories.

This September visit follows the second edition held in May, and the first that took place in October 2024, highlighting the continued interest of international actors in the Portuguese experience in sustainable forest management and the potential for cooperation and learning between countries.
