2BForest presented a poster on carbon recovery in post-fire montados at Cork Science 2025
On October 13th and 14th, 2BForest participated in Cork Science / CSA 2025, an international event dedicated to research and innovation in the cork sector, organized by the University of Aveiro and the University of Lisbon. The event brought together researchers, professionals, and entities from the forestry sector to share knowledge and promote sustainable solutions for Mediterranean ecosystems.
During the event, 2BForest presented the scientific poster "Valuing Carbon Sequestration in Post-Fire Cork Oak Forests," developed as part of the ES_Sponsor project. This work highlights the importance of valuing carbon sequestration in cork oak forests affected by fires, demonstrating how sustainable forest management can enhance ecological recovery and generate measurable benefits for the climate and society.
Participation in Cork Science 2025 reinforces 2BForest's commitment to applied research, forestry innovation and the enhancement of ecosystem services, contributing to more responsible, transparent and resilient management of Portuguese forests.
