First FSC® certified honey in Portugal: Casa Lourenço Honey with new size options.

2BForest is pleased to share some excellent news: Casa Lourenço honey, the first FSC® certified honey in Portugal and the third worldwide, now offers new size options (250g, 500g and 1kg), reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and proximity to the consumer.

Certification ensures that the entire production process is aligned with responsible forestry practices, contributing to the preservation of ecosystems and the sustainable development of local communities.

Casa Lourenço is based in Cumeada, a small village in the municipality of Sertã, in the heart of Portugal. Created by two brothers, Rui and Augusto Lourenço, this family project was born from a passion for nature and a commitment to sustainable production.

In 2019, Casa Lourenço began converting its farm to organic production, consolidating its mission to reduce environmental impact and value natural resources. Since 2020, its honey has been certified organic, and in 2021 its pollen also obtained this certification.

Today, with FSC® recognition, Casa Lourenço represents an inspiring example of how beekeeping can integrate good forestry practices and promote the local economy, creating value through sustainability.
