We are hiring for a GIS & Technology Development Internship (Lisbon).
We are looking for an intern to join the GIS and Technological Development Department, contributing to the development of digital solutions applied to forest management.
Main Responsibilities
- Updating and developing the ForestSIM platform
- Integration of national cartography and geospatial data management
- Use of APIs to support the mapping of PGFs
- Map interpretation and use of GIS tools.
- Participation in field activities
Internship Objectives
- Develop skills in geographic information systems applied to the forestry sector.
- Development of knowledge on remote sensing applied to forest management.
- Strengthen knowledge in geospatial data management and digital tools.
- To promote autonomy, analytical skills, and integration in technological projects.
Desired Profile
- Education (preferably a Master's degree) in Forestry Engineering, Natural Resources, Geography, Land Management, or equivalent fields.
- Skills in GIS and digital tools
- Experience with QGIS
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in LiDAR data processing.
- Good organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Autonomy, responsibility, and attention to detail.
Workplace
- Campo de Ourique (Lisbon), with field activities and occasional trips.
- Possibility of a hybrid system after the initial integration period.

Mandatory requirements for internships + talent (IEFP):
- To be under 35 years old
- Being registered with the IEFP as unemployed
