2BForest is hiring: Regional Forestry Technician – Ourém and Leiria
2BForest is looking for a Forestry Technician to promote the participation of forest owners in the forest management certification group, ecosystem services, projects and forest planning, using the ForestSIM platform.
Candidate profile:
- Ability to work and help each other as a team;
- Dynamic/Responsible;
- Qualifications: Higher education related to Agricultural Sciences, Geographic Information Systems or similar fields (Forestry, Land Planning, Information Systems and Technologies, Geography);
- Professional experience with GIS software (QGIS preferred);
- Experience with Microsoft Office;
- Residence within the area of operation: Ourém, Leiria or neighboring municipalities.
- Knowledge of forestry and/or land-use planning terminology is a preferred condition;
- Driving license;
- Availability of mobility
- Preferred qualifications: registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., Order of Engineers); training at ForestSIM.
Job Description:
- Support for forest owners in obtaining certification for forest management and ecosystem services;
- Support for companies and forest owners in the management and application of Good Forestry Practices;
- Support for the Central Hub team in ongoing projects in the territory.
