2BForest participates in the III Meeting of Custodians for the Conservation of Bonelli's Eagle
2BForest participated in the III Meeting of Custodians for the Conservation of Bonelli's Eagle, an initiative integrated into the LIFE LxAquila project and dedicated to raising awareness and involving landowners and managers in the protection of this emblematic species of Portuguese fauna.
The event took place in Mafra and brought together public entities, associations, nature conservation organizations, and landowners within the Mafra Priority Conservation Area, promoting dialogue and the sharing of knowledge about best practices in land management and biodiversity preservation.
As part of its participation, 2BForest gave a presentation dedicated to forest management certification and ecosystem services, highlighting the role that responsible and sustainable management of forest areas can play in nature conservation and the enhancement of natural resources.
The session addressed the importance of forest certification as a tool to promote good management practices, contributing to habitat protection, biodiversity preservation, and the strengthening of ecosystem services, which are fundamental for environmental balance and the well-being of communities.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between landowners, management entities, and organizations linked to nature conservation, encouraging the adoption of measures that promote the protection of Bonelli's Eagle and other species associated with Mediterranean forest ecosystems.
