2BForest participates in the presentation of the results of the GEOFOR project of the Transform Agenda.
2BForest participated in the Results Presentation Session of the GEOFOR project – Geographic Databases and Applications for Forest Management, promoted by CoLAB ForestWISE and held in the Auditorium of the Directorate-General for Territory (DGT).
The event marked the conclusion of the GEOFOR project, integrated into the transForm Agenda, and brought together representatives from public entities, companies, forestry sector organizations, and the scientific community to learn about the technological solutions developed to modernize forest management, certification, mapping, and monitoring in Portugal.
The session was attended by the Secretary of State for Local Administration and Spatial Planning, Silvério Regalado, and the Secretary of State for Forests, Rui Ladeira, who emphasized the strategic relevance of the initiatives presented for the future of territorial and forest management in the country.
Among the main highlights was the presentation of the new Territorial Information Portal (PoInT), an innovative platform designed to simplify and modernize access to territorial information. Developed within the scope of GEOFOR, the portal will allow the concentration of data currently scattered across different systems in a single access point, promoting greater interoperability, transparency, and efficiency in the use of territorial information by citizens, businesses, researchers, and public entities.
During the event, several tools developed within the project were also presented, including the 2BForest Integrated System for Supporting Forest Management, Certification and Mapping. This solution reinforces the company's commitment to technological innovation applied to the forestry sector, providing tools that support decision-making, sustainable resource management and forest certification.
The agenda also included technical demonstrations of the different platforms developed, a roundtable discussion dedicated to user experience, and networking opportunities among participants, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration between the various stakeholders in the sector.
2BForest's participation in this session represents another step in its active involvement in collaborative innovation projects that contribute to the digital transformation of the forestry sector and to the creation of technological solutions capable of responding to the current challenges of land and natural resource management.
