2BForest supports the 10th National Forestry Congress
2BForest is a sponsor of 10th National Forestry Congress (10CFN), which stems from October 5-9, 2026, at the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, bringing together different professionals, researchers, companies, institutions and other agents linked to the forest and the territory.
Organized by Portuguese Society of Forest Sciences (SPCF)The 10th National Forestry Congress has as its theme... "Forest, people and territory: sustainable connections", proposing a space for reflection and sharing on the challenges and opportunities that currently characterize the Portuguese forest.
Over several days, the congress will feature plenary sessions, thematic sessions, roundtables, symposia, and study visits, promoting dialogue between different areas of knowledge and among the various stakeholders in forest management and enhancement.
Among the highlighted themes are... Forest management, soil and water conservation, biodiversity, climate change, ecological restoration, technological innovation, forest certification, and ecosystem services.These areas directly intersect with the current challenges of sustainable land management. The program also includes sessions dedicated to the integration of ecosystem services into forest management, conservation, ecological restoration, and innovation and digitalization of the sector.
For 2BForest, supporting this initiative represents an opportunity to contribute to the Sharing knowledge and bridging the gap between science, practice, and forest management., promoting debate on solutions that allow for the integrated valuation of the different functions of the forest.
Participation in initiatives of this nature is also aligned with the work developed by 2BForest in promoting a sustainable and multifunctional forest management, namely through the enhancement of Ecosystem Services and the integration of different environmental, social and economic values in the territory.
The 10th National Forestry Congress is therefore an important meeting point for the Portuguese forestry sector, allowing for the discussion of knowledge, innovation and new approaches to address the present and future challenges of the forest.
