Training and Sustainability

Continuous and self-sustainable forest management

This project was a pioneer in the world, in 2021, for having implemented the new version of the FSC Project Standard (FSC-STD-40-006 V2-0), accepting the interpretation challenges that a new reference demands, without losing focus on promoting the importance of an informed choice of forest-certified products.

This project used materials from forests whose responsible management is certified by the FSC®, promoting respect for the social, environmental and economic values of the forest.

The unique feature of this project is its close connection to the Portuguese Forest, using products primarily sourced from forest species planted in Portugal and processed by Portuguese industry. These products come from forest areas and companies that have invested in their valorization through FSC certification.

This initiative aims to raise awareness of the urgent need to choose products that have proven to promote active forest management! These products have proven to use technical support to introduce best practices to increase the protection of populations and biodiversity, and ensure the valorization of forestry work.
