Promote Sustainable Practices

2BForest participates in the ForestAgriGreenNudge project, which aims to implement and evaluate behavioral environmental interventions known as "Green Nudges." These small nudges encourage the adoption of more sustainable choices in the agriculture and forestry sectors. The approach is supported by concepts from behavioral science and aims to encourage more responsible and eco-friendly practices among farmers, foresters, and other supply chain stakeholders.

Small nudges make a difference in adopting sustainable practices.

Behavior Analysis and Strategy Development

ForestAgriGreenNudge analyzes behavioral factors that influence the decisions of agricultural and forestry professionals. Tools are also developed to help refine decision-making processes as part of a strategy aimed at promoting and establishing lasting change.

Work Packages (WPs)

WP1 - Project Management and Coordination

It ensures overall project management, ensuring effective communication between all partners, including the European Commission, and coordinating administrative, strategic, and financial aspects. This package is essential to ensuring the success of all ForestAgriGreenNudge activities.

WP2 - Analysis of Existing Green Nudges Initiatives

Current Green Nudge practices in Europe are the focus of this study, with the creation of a resource library and a framework for integrating these nudges into agricultural and forestry initiatives. The first Pan-European Green Nudges conference will also be organized in this context.

WP3 - Decision Factors and Nudge Development

A detailed analysis of farmers' and foresters' decisions. Through a survey of a representative sample, it will be possible to map behavioral barriers and test nudging strategies to overcome these obstacles.

WP4 - The Role of the Value Chain in Promoting Sustainability

This package will document the attitudes of consumers, retailers, and wholesalers toward sustainable practices and green products. The idea is to engage the entire value chain to support the transition to more sustainable agriculture and forestry.

WP5 - Policy Development and Stakeholder Engagement

It involves policymakers, stakeholders, and relevant institutions, promoting active collaboration to create policy solutions based on nudges. This package aims to facilitate the adoption of sustainable practices at all levels of the supply chain.

WP6 - Communication and Dissemination of Results

It focuses on effectively communicating project results through the organization of national conferences and outreach events. The goal is to amplify the impact of Green Nudges and ensure that best practices are adopted across Europe.
